Good afternoon! I left to head up to New Hampshire this morning, but made myself stop first to get a very over-due oil change (I find so many reasons to put this kind of thing off all the time!). So I dropped off my car and walked up to the post office to ship out some orders. As soon as I got in line, the garage called to tell me that I needed four new tires! The mechanic said that I absolutely could not drive two and half hours to NH without getting new tires put on because at least one of them (if not two or three, or all four) would blow out because they were so worn down. Of course. A $20 oil change quickly turned into $300 ordeal.

I found out last night that I have been accepted into the Brooklyn Renegade Craft Fair again!! I will be sharing a booth with my friends Justin and Alice. I am super excited about the fair taking place on grass this year instead of concrete and about sharing the space and how that means I can stress less about filling it. Now, the count down begins! Two months! Better get sewing!
The past couple of days were fairly gloomy outside, and caused me to feel gloomy as well. I had a hard time motivating myself to do anything, though I wanted to very badly. Finally I awoke this morning to the sun shining in a bright blue sky and got up out of bed ready to make something new. Spring chicks! I found this great yellow upholstery fabric a couple months ago at just three dollars a yard. I had to take some home with me, even though I had no idea what I would do with it. It has a very large herringbone pattern, and the stripes worked perfectly to give a little texture to these new chicks. I wanted to make something bright and cheery for the season, while still making something tiny and simple. I finished five of these little ones already and had fun taking photographs of them! I will be listing a couple in my shop today.
